STEP LIGHT

We have redesigned the construction of the Step in order to offer you the best possible compromise between lightness, compactness and ease of flight. Its upper surface is an assembly of Skytex 32gr and 27gr double coated fabrics, the distribution of which has been studied to ensure the best possible longevity.

Its new 7mm Aramid webbing risers are exclusive to SUPAIR in partnership with the Cousin Trestec brand.Performance and flight enjoyment are similar to the Step with less inertia due to weight gain. The size M weighs 4 kg, a weight saving of 1 kg compared to the Step.The upper support band between the Cs and Ds has been widened to ensure better maintenance of the structure. Pitching movements in turbulence are smoother and more manageable.”

OUR INSIGHTS:

“With the use of light materials, the Step Light has a much easier launch behaviour.
In particular, forward launch without wind has been improved compared to the standard Step.

In flight the wing is very stable for a light wing, it is more forgiving in case of collapse or flight incident. The brake travel is longer, with less effort than on the standard Step.

I love the new risers, in the style of the Savage ones, especially the very efficient C control bars. The glider is as efficient and with the same glide ratio as the Step Standard, matching some in-Cs.

In summary, a very good hike & fly / xc glider, with good speed and easy handling. What more can you ask for ?”
